Minecraft DDoS protection in Tokyo

Tokyo, Japan (TYO) is one of seven dedicated Cryo PoPs — full Layer-7 Minecraft filtering at 35.68°N 139.69°E, behind Cloudflare's anycast edge.

Japan and Korea have deep, technically demanding Minecraft communities where tens of milliseconds decide whether a server feels playable. The TYO PoP keeps East Asian players on their home carriers — typically 5–35 ms to the edge — instead of sending them across the Pacific just to be filtered.

TYO also acts as the transpacific bridge: a network with a Japanese backend can serve US West Coast players through the same PoP with one clean filtered hop. The full pipeline — Cryo Layer-7 mitigation, CryoLimbo verification, fingerprint bans — runs identically here, managed from the same panel as every other region.

Who connects through TYO

Routing is automatic: anycast delivers each player to their nearest entry city, and geo-steering picks the best Cryo PoP from there. If Tokyo is ever unavailable, traffic shifts to Singapore (SIN) without a config change.

Same pipeline as every PoP

TYO runs the complete Arvoris stack — nothing regional about the protection: L4/L7 DDoS mitigation, the antibot pipeline with CryoLimbo verification, AntiVPN, MOTD edge caching and real client IPs via PROXY protocol. Plans start free for up to 15 players.
