Players enter through the nearest of Cloudflare's 330+ anycast cities, then land on the closest dedicated Cryo PoP for protocol-level filtering — so protection never means a detour.

Dedicated Cryo PoPs

Volumetric attacks are absorbed at the anycast edge; the Minecraft-speaking traffic that remains is filtered on our own network (AS216013, 600+ Gbps of Layer-7 capacity) at the PoP nearest each player. Geo-steering routes every player to their best PoP automatically — one network can serve Warsaw and Tokyo at local latency simultaneously.
