Minecraft DDoS protection in New York

New York, United States (NYC) is one of seven dedicated Cryo PoPs — full Layer-7 Minecraft filtering at 40.71°N 74.00°W, behind Cloudflare's anycast edge.

New York is the classic home of North American Minecraft infrastructure — most major US server hosts run their hardware in or around NYC-metro datacenters. Our NYC PoP sits on the same interconnect fabric, which means the filtered hop between our edge and your host is usually one or two milliseconds, not a detour across the country.

Players across the US East Coast and Eastern Canada typically reach the NYC edge in under 20 ms. Because Cryo filters at the protocol level before forwarding, your players' route barely changes from what a direct connection would look like — the mitigation is in the path, not a detour through it. If your backend lives in Ashburn, Buffalo or Montreal, this is the PoP your traffic will love.

Who connects through NYC

Routing is automatic: anycast delivers each player to their nearest entry city, and geo-steering picks the best Cryo PoP from there. If New York is ever unavailable, traffic shifts to Miami (MIA) without a config change.

Same pipeline as every PoP

NYC runs the complete Arvoris stack — nothing regional about the protection: L4/L7 DDoS mitigation, the antibot pipeline with CryoLimbo verification, AntiVPN, MOTD edge caching and real client IPs via PROXY protocol. Plans start free for up to 15 players.
