Minecraft DDoS Protection for Spain

For a Minecraft server with Spanish players, Arvoris takes connections in at Cloudflare's Madrid and Barcelona edge, filters them at the Frankfurt (FRA) PoP, and delivers clean traffic to your backend — typically 35–50 ms round trip on Movistar, Vodafone or Orange. And because so many Spanish-language servers also serve Latin America, the Miami (MIA) PoP handles that half of your playerbase automatically.

No PoP on Spanish soil doesn't mean Spanish-grade latency is off the table. A player on Movistar in Sevilla or Vodafone in Valencia enters Cloudflare's anycast edge at Madrid or Barcelona — inside the country — and their connection rides the private backbone to Frankfurt, where Cryo does protocol-aware Layer-7 filtering. The public internet, with its congestion and unpredictable routing, is only involved for the short local hop.

One server, two continents

The Spanish Minecraft scene has a trait most European communities don't: a large share of its players log in from the other side of the Atlantic. Spanish-language servers naturally draw players from Mexico, Argentina, Colombia and the rest of Latin America — and a Frankfurt-only setup would make them pay for your geography. Arvoris' answer is geo-steering across 7 PoPs: your players in Bilbao filter through FRA at 35–50 ms while your players in Buenos Aires filter through Miami (MIA), each entering Cloudflare at a city near them. Nobody crosses an ocean twice.

What the pipeline stops

Every connection — Spanish or LatAm — passes the same gauntlet before touching your backend:

Setup from Spain

Nothing about setup is country-specific: create a free network, add your host's IP and port as the backend, and point `play.yourdomain.com` at your Arvoris endpoint with a CNAME (or SRV if you use a custom port). Roughly 5 minutes, no plugin, and you keep your current host — the free plan is a permanent tier, not a trial, so you can measure your real ping from Madrid before spending a euro. Attacks the size of anything a booter can rent are a rounding error against the largest floods already mitigated: 7.15 Tbps volumetric and a 50-million-connection Layer-7 attack.

Common questions

What's the ping from Spain to Arvoris?+

Typically 35–50 ms. Players on Movistar, Vodafone or Orange enter Cloudflare's anycast network in Madrid or Barcelona — a local first hop — and the leg to the Frankfurt PoP runs over Cloudflare's private backbone rather than public transit, which keeps the range tight and stable.

My server has lots of Latin American players. Do they suffer?+

No — this is where geo-steering matters. Each player is routed to their nearest of Arvoris' 7 PoPs automatically: your Spanish players filter through Frankfurt while Mexican, Colombian or Argentine players filter through Miami (MIA). One network, one domain, two continents served from their own side of the Atlantic.

Does Arvoris have a PoP inside Spain?+

No — the 7 PoPs are New York, Miami, Frankfurt, Warsaw, Tel Aviv, Singapore and Tokyo. But the entry point is what determines the player's first-hop experience, and Cloudflare has in-country presence in Madrid and Barcelona. The Frankfurt hop happens on a private backbone, which is why 35–50 ms is realistic rather than optimistic.

Can I keep my current Spanish or European host?+

Yes. Arvoris sits in front of any host — you add your server's IP and port as a backend and point your domain at your Arvoris endpoint with one DNS record. About 5 minutes, no plugin, and your real player IPs still arrive via PROXY protocol on every plan.

What does it cost to start?+

$0. The free plan covers 15 players and 1 backend with the complete mitigation pipeline. Budget is $10/mo for 60 players, Essential $25/mo for 150, and Value $40/mo adds geo-steering load balancing, 2 networks and 10 backends — the tier most Spain-plus-LatAm networks land on.
